Dr. Scott Roos, Ed.D., M.A. tutors most high school subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Trig, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Latin, Ancient Greek, Sanskrit, English, Writing & Composition, History, Chemistry, Physics, Beginning Spanish, Beginning, French, Beginning German.
Test Preparation
Dr. Roos also prepares students for the Math and Verbal Sections of the SAT, ACT, and GRE. He has helped students succeed on these tests for over 20 years and uses the latest techniques in cognition and motivation theory. He has taught English, History, and Math at the high school level and uses these contexts to help prepare students. He scored a 1520 on the SAT (780 on the Math portion), an 800 in Math on the old GRE, and a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam.
Background
Dr. Roos graduated with his Ed.D. in Education from the University of San Francisco, M.A. in Classics from San Francisco State University, B.A. in Classical Dramatic Studies from Stanford University. He has taught both high school and college.
