Introduction to Yoga Philosophy
Have you ever wondered what Yoga is really about? Are you curious as to what is contained in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali? Are you unhappy, stressed, or otherwise experiencing any distress of the mind? Then this is the class for you.
In each one-hour session, we will learn the theory and philosophy contained in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. We will look at the original Sanskrit and learn to chant the Sutras in Sanskrit. Teacher Scott will then translate and explain the sutras.
You are encouraged to implement the techniques we learn from those sutras and to do reflection practices for homework to "rewire" the mind.
Classes will meet at 12pm (PST) on Fridays starting March 12. There are six classes in this series. All classes will meet on Zoom (online) and will be recorded in case you have to miss a class.
